Programs Highlights

In the year 2024, HRN was able make the work of some Humanitarian partners more impactful and understood by the local communities through breaking language barriers. HRN played a pivotal role in the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) protection sub-sector, by providing translation services in 3 local languages; Hausa, Kanuri, and Bura. This initiative helped disseminate vital information in local languages to communities across Borno State, during the globally recognized 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. HRN also supported the EiEWG with translation of IEC materials from English to Hausa and Kanuri. During the flood in Maiduguri, Borno State, HRN was able to support 5 NNGOs with free translation services.
